Franca is an Advisor with GLA. Over the course of her legal career of more than 25 years, Franca was formerly Managing Director of Consilium Law Corporation, a Singapore registered law practice that specialised in Singapore and offshore law, and in corporate & commercial law, contracts law, M & A, fintech, litigation and cross border matrimonial law. Her private practice experience also included being the Managing Partner of the Singapore Office of Stikeman Elliott, the Canadian law firm.

Franca trained in law and business in Canada, New York and Singapore and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1990, and in 2010, was one of the first foreign lawyers to gain full admission to the Singapore Bar. Franca’s subject areas of legal expertise are in corporate and commercial law, contracts, technology law and fintech, cross border M & A, foreign investment law and international trade with a focus on Canada, ASEAN and West Africa.

As a mentor to young professionals, for the last seven years she has operated a training program in Singapore for Canadian law students. She is active in “100 Women in Finance” (under the patronage of the Duchess of Cambridge) and as a past VP of the Canadian Association has organized charitable events such as the Terry Fox Run and the Canadian Maple Leaf Ball.
