Tek Heng's area of practice is principally in corporate law and funds management. After graduating with an Honours degree in law from the University of Warwick, Tek Heng went on to do an M. Phil from the University of Cambridge.

A Barrister at Law from Lincolns Inn, London, Tek Heng was called to the Singapore Bar in 1986 and has practiced in Singapore since then including at Rodyk and Davidson, Chor Pee & Company where he was also a partner.

With 20 years of experience in legal practice Tek Heng is a Senior Director of Global Law Alliance LLC and practices in the financial services/asset management arm of the Company. He regularly advises leading fund managers on the regulatory aspects of establishing funds, offering requirements for local and offshore investment products, compliance issues, preparation of offer documents including prospectuses and on financial advisory and securities laws.

Tek has acted for several multi-national companies on their mergers and acquisitions in Singapore and, where acquisitions involve listed companies, on takeovers and reverse-takeovers including preparation of the documents. He also has substantial experience in property related transactions and has acted in several major cross border transactions including REITs.
